Overview

The 7th Oide Dult Passau in 2025 continued the nostalgic folk festival tradition in the monastery garden. The Pemperlprater from 1829, brass band music without amplification, and catering by Löwen-Brauerei characterized the festival week in the three-river city.

The 2025 edition of the Oide Dult Passau – the seventh of its kind – confirmed the firm place of this special folk festival in the Lower Bavarian festival calendar. For a week, the Pemperlprater, acoustic brass band music, and the ox roast defined the monastery garden on the banks of the Inn.

Families from Passau, Lower Bavaria, and neighboring Upper Austria, as well as tourists from all over Germany and the Czech Republic, praised the charm of the festival: no disco lights, no loud bass, but an atmospheric journey into the folk festival culture of the 19th century.
