Overview

OBEN OHNE Open Air 2025 was again Southern Germany's largest non-commercial festival. 20,000 young people gathered on Königsplatz in Munich to experience a long festival day with Indie, HipHop, Pop, and Electronic music — organized voluntarily by the Kreisjugendringe München-Stadt and München-Land with hundreds of helpers from Munich's youth association work.

In 2025, OBEN OHNE Open Air was sold out within hours again. On Königsplatz in the heart of Munich, against the ancient backdrop of the Propylaea and the Glyptothek, acts from the German and international Indie, HipHop, and Electronic scene performed all day Saturday — with a special focus on young voices, FLINTA* acts, and artists with migration backgrounds.

Like every year, the 2025 festival was characterized by its consistent awareness concept, free solidarity tickets for eligible youth, and its roots in Munich's open youth work. More than just a festival, it's an annual manifestation of Munich's vibrant, diverse, and solidarity-based youth culture — that's OBEN OHNE Open Air for over three decades.
