Overview
The previous NRW-Tag took place in Bielefeld in 2024 — unlike in 2026, not in Münster. Bielefeld celebrated the state festival with over 200 exhibitor stands, several stages in the city center, and a large Sunday parade. This format has established a rotating NRW host city for the state's grand festival of democracy and citizens for decades.
The NRW-Tag has been held every one to two years in a different city since 1995. In 2024, Bielefeld was the host; in 2026, Münster will celebrate the state's 80th birthday. The concept combines political information, hands-on activities, culinary diversity, and major headliner concerts.
