Unlike many classic Christmas markets, the MünsterWeihnacht is staged as a winter village. Wooden huts in a uniform design, festive lighting, heated pavilions, seating areas, and lovingly designed details make the market a place where people like to linger. Lantern Parade to Kick Off

A special highlight of the 2026 program is the lantern parade on November 7 at 5 PM. The parade starts at the Alte Brauerei and leads through the Northeim town center to Münsterplatz with handmade lanterns, musical accompaniment, and a festive atmosphere. A magical start to the Advent season, especially for families with children.
