Overview

The 34th edition of Nordischer Klang took place in May 2025 in Greifswald. Around 40 events featuring music, film, literature, and science with artists from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Estonia. For its long-standing bridge-building work, the festival received the Kulturförderpreis in 2024.

The 2025 edition continued the festival tradition with around 40 events over ten days. Greifswald once again transformed into a hotspot for Nordic cultures: concerts of all genres from classical to pop, readings, film, theatre, and a scientific symposium at the University of Greifswald.

The principle of annually changing patron and partner countries from the Nordic region remains central. The organiser is the volunteer-run association Nordischer Klang e.V. in cooperation with the Institute for Fennistik and Scandinavian Studies at the University of Greifswald. For its pioneering work, Nordischer Klang was awarded the Kulturförderpreis in 2024.
