Overview

In 2025, Nordic Christmas once again transformed Tibarg in Hamburg-Niendorf into a Scandinavian winter garden for four weeks. Falun red huts, tipis with live accordion music, and Glögg stands shaped the atmosphere – the market was once again a quiet alternative to Hamburg's large city center Christmas markets.

Looking Back at 2025

The 2025 edition ran from November 27th to December 24th with daily opening hours from 11 AM to 9 PM. The huts offered Scandinavian handicrafts, Danish knitwear, and Finnish candles. The large tipi featured live music daily, and on Advent weekends, there were readings for children. The highlight was the joint forest Christmas carol sing-along in early December behind Niendorf's Marktkirche, traditionally supported by Tibarg.

The Niendorf district and the Eimsbüttel borough have consciously focused on Nordic identity for years – Nordic Christmas is considered a flagship of this identity and attracts visitors from all over western and northern Hamburg annually.
