Spiegelbachpark as an Advent Setting

The Spiegelbachpark in Bellheim is the venue for several events in the summer (such as the Mühlen- und Schanzenfest at the Alten Sägewerk Mittelmühle) and provides the backdrop for the Nikolausmarkt in Advent. The Bellheim associations – sports club, fire brigade, music club, carnival society, church community – run most of the stalls themselves. Mulled wine from Palatinate vintners, punch, bratwurst, potato pancakes, crepes, sweet baked goods, and small gift items are the standard offerings. In addition, craftspeople are present with ceramics, wood, textiles, and jewelry.

With around 9,000 inhabitants, Bellheim is the largest municipality in the Bellheim administrative district. The town is located between Germersheim and Landau and is easily accessible by train and via the A65 motorway. The Nikolausmarkt on the 1st Advent weekend marks the start of Bellheim's pre-Christmas season.
