Nieder-Olm Street Festival

The Nieder-Olm Street Festival looks back on almost fifty years of tradition. Since its first edition in 1977, the festival has grown from a small club initiative into one of the most important dates in the event calendar of the Nieder-Olm administrative district. For three days, local clubs, vintners, and restaurateurs take over the main street, the town hall square, and the adjacent alleys.

The concept has grown and proven itself: Clubs such as the Carnival Club, the Fire Department, the Sports Club, the Music Band, and the church communities run stands with food, drinks, and games. The variety ranges from Rhenish-Hessian home cooking to bratwurst and steaks, crêpes, cocktails, and ice cream specialties. The Nieder-Olm vintners present their wines and sparkling wines, and breweries from the region serve draft beer.

A wide range of music groups perform on several stages. Rock cover bands, pop acts, dialect musicians, the local music band, and youth bands create the atmosphere from early afternoon until late at night. The opening on Friday evening and the closing on Sunday are fixed program points.

A special feature of the 2026 edition: for the first time, a street festival race will be held on Sunday, complementing the sporting aspect of the event. Details about the route, distances, and participation conditions will be published by the town in good time.

The festival is deeply rooted in the population. Generations of Nieder-Olm residents associate childhood memories, club outings, and convivial evenings with friends with the street festival. Visitors also come from the surrounding area – Mainz, Ingelheim, Oppenheim – to the Rhenish Hesse town to experience the family-friendly atmosphere and the diverse offerings.
