Nibelungenmarkt Plattling — Edition 2025

The Nibelungenmarkt Plattling is explicitly a four-year cycle event – thus, no edition took place in 2025. The three-year break between editions is used for extensive organizational and artistic preparation: amateur actors rehearse the festival production for months, associations prepare their medieval camps, and the City of Plattling and the Nibelungen Förderverein e.V. plan the market and stage program. It is precisely this rare rhythm that gives each edition – including the one scheduled for July 2026 – its exceptional character in the Lower Bavaria event calendar.
