Newroz Children's and Family Festival (Yekmal e.V.) — Edition 2025

Yekmal e.V.'s Newroz Children's and Family Festival 2025, like every year, was held as a community spring and New Year festival for Berlin's Kurdish community. Songs, dances, workshops, a bazaar, and shared meals characterized the day. Children from Yekmal's bilingual daycares performed traditional Newroz songs and dances, while workshops, discussion rounds, and a bazaar ran concurrently. The 2025 edition confirmed the festival as the most important community event for Berlin's diaspora and directly led to the 2026 edition on March 28th at the Spore Initiative.
