Overview

The 469th Neustädter Kerwa took place from June 21 to 29, 2025. Nine days of festivities at the "Bei den Sommerkellern" festival grounds with two beer tents, Wirtsdorf, a marksmen's parade, a children's festival, and a boxing night. Mayor Klaus Meier performed the beer tapping ceremony – his last before the end of his term.

The 469th edition of the Neustädter Kirchweih 2025 once again commemorated the re-consecration of the Evangelical City Church of St. Johannis. Mayor Klaus Meier performed the traditional beer tapping ceremony on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 3 PM – his last before leaving office, according to his own statement.

During the nine festival days, the ecumenical festival service, the marksmen's parade on Monday, the children's festival and family day, a live performance by the band Radspitz in the festival tent, the festival reception with grand fireworks on Wednesday, and the traditional football match of the "Ficht’n-Lupfer" followed. Two beer tents, the Wirtsdorf, and numerous rides under the old trees formed the festival backdrop.
