The 12th edition of the Neustadt Art Festival enlivened Dresden's Äußere Neustadt in 2025 with three days of exhibitions, concerts, readings, and performances at 19 venues. The festival maintained its non-commercial profile and remained volunteer-organized by the Neustadt Art Kollektiv — with free admission to almost all program points.

In 2025, Dresden's Äußere Neustadt once again opened its courtyards, studios, theaters, and galleries on the last weekend of September. The Kunsthof Dresden with its 'Courtyards of Metamorphosis,' the Scheune, the Kunsthaus, the Societaetstheater, and numerous smaller venues hosted the festival. Visual arts, music, literature, and discussions remained equally important — the concept of a platform for young Dresden artists has proven successful since 2014.
