Overview

In the summer of 2025, the Schloss Neuhardenberg Foundation presented several open-air concerts under the title "Ins Freie!" (Into the Open!) in the palace park. A separate "Proms" format did not yet exist in 2025 — however, the park was already the venue for high-caliber classical and jazz evenings, which the 2026 Proms concert builds upon.

In the summer of 2025, the Schloss Neuhardenberg Foundation continued its successful "Ins Freie!" (Into the Open!) open-air series in the palace park. The concerts took place on the chestnut meadow and in front of the Schinkel Palace Church, bringing together classical and jazz ensembles in the Oderbruch park.

From the success of these open-air concerts, the idea emerged to establish a dedicated Proms format based on the British model starting in 2026 — with a large orchestra, star soloists, and charming British-style moderation. The 2025 season was therefore the direct predecessor to the Neuhardenberg Proms.
