Overview

The 2025 season of the Music Summer between Inn and Salzach was an anniversary season: the festival association celebrated its 50th anniversary. As usual, around 20 concerts were held between May and October across the five districts of Rosenheim, Traunstein, Mühldorf am Inn, Altötting, and Berchtesgadener Land — with a special focus on the series' round birthday.

50 Years of Music Summer

2025 marked the 50th birthday of the Music Summer between Inn and Salzach. What began in 1975 as a regional initiative is now one of the oldest concert series in Upper Bavaria. The anniversary season celebrated this journey with an expanded program in the usual historic venues — from castle halls and monastery churches to concert halls along the Inn and Salzach rivers.

Programmatic Diversity

The three pillars of the series remained at the core: classical music and chamber music, jazz, and folk music. International soloists and regional ensembles shared the program; some concerts explicitly referenced the festival's history, looking back at 50 years of concert tradition in the region.
