Overview

Musikfest Berlin 2025: the major classical festival of the Berliner Festspiele at the start of the season, featuring international orchestras, solo artists, and a broad program of classical, modern, and contemporary music at the Philharmonie, Konzerthaus, and other Berlin venues.

The 2025 edition took place in late summer, as in previous years, with around 30 events, from the opening at the end of August until mid/late September. Organizers Berliner Festspiele and Stiftung Berliner Philharmoniker presented a program featuring Berlin's resident ensembles and international guests — Vienna Philharmonic, London Symphony, Concertgebouw, and others.

As usual, the focus was on classical music of the 19th and 20th centuries, complemented by contemporary works and tributes to composers celebrating anniversaries. The main venues were the Philharmonie Berlin, Konzerthaus Berlin, and the Haus der Berliner Festspiele. Tickets were in the classic price range of approx. €15 to €150+, depending on the event. The edition paved the way for the significantly larger anniversary edition in 2026 for the 75th anniversary of the Berliner Festspiele.
