The Musik am Hafen Geesthacht concert series in 2025 ran its established season with 5 Wednesday evenings between May and September. Bands from northern Germany and beyond played free open-air concerts on the terraced seating areas at the harbour basin — a regular summer event in Geesthacht.

The 2025 season of the "Musik am Hafen" concert series confirmed the series' firm place in the Geesthacht summer calendar. Five Wednesday evenings with bands from Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, and the greater Hamburg area — the established tradition of free open-air concerts at the harbour basin once again attracted hundreds of visitors to Steinstraße and Menzer-Werft-Platz.
The Geesthacht Tourist Information, under the direction of Bettina Knoop, once again demonstrated in 2025 how a consistently low-threshold, free event format shapes the urban landscape — without commercial pressure, but with clear added value for tourism and identity.
