The 2025 season of the "Musik am Hafen" concert series confirmed the series' firm place in the Geesthacht summer calendar. Five Wednesday evenings with bands from Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony, and the greater Hamburg area — the established tradition of free open-air concerts at the harbour basin once again attracted hundreds of visitors to Steinstraße and Menzer-Werft-Platz.

The Geesthacht Tourist Information, under the direction of Bettina Knoop, once again demonstrated in 2025 how a consistently low-threshold, free event format shapes the urban landscape — without commercial pressure, but with clear added value for tourism and identity.
