Edition 2025 — Sommerfest Munderkingen
The 72nd edition of the Munderkingen Summer Festival took place from July 4th to 7th, 2025, on the Danube bank. Four festival days featuring the Danube Slide, Trucker Meet, Public Viewing, party night, Year Group Reunion, and Frühschoppen — described by the Schwäbische Zeitung as a highlight weekend of the summer in the Alb-Donau district. The Stadtkapelle Munderkingen e.V. organized the festival in its established format with over 70 volunteers.
Proven Danube Festival
The 72nd edition in 2025 further solidified the decades-old format: the Danube Slide on Saturday as the visual highlight, the Trucker Meet, festival tent concerts, and the Year Group Reunion as fixed program points. The Schwäbische Zeitung reported extensively on the festival weekend and described the event as a "highlight date" in the region's summer calendar.
The continuity in the association's organization, the strong participation of Munderkingen's club landscape, and the popular Danube Slide format secure the Summer Festival's special position. The Stadtkapelle Munderkingen will continue the 73rd edition in 2026 with the same format.
