Overview
On Whit Monday 2024, the Schillingerhofmühle in Freiamt's Pechofental opened its doors for German Mill Day. Milling demonstrations on the historical mill mechanism from 1802, a diverse craft program by the local heritage association (Heimatverein Freiamt), and regional culinary delights attracted mill enthusiasts from all over the Black Forest to the Pechofental.
During the 2024 Mill Festival, the Schillingerhofmühle was once again a central attraction in Freiamt's event calendar. The Schillinger family and the local heritage association (Heimatverein Freiamt) hosted numerous visitors in the idyllic valley location of Pechofental. The festival, held every two years, commemorates the centuries-old mill culture of the Black Forest and focuses on the authentically working milling mechanism. The event was, as always, accessible free of charge.
