Overview

The 2025 edition of the Muddy Angel Run Gelsenkirchen took place as usual at the racecourse. Over 4,000 runners from the Ruhr area and across Germany conquered the 5 km course with 13 obstacles in the mud, accompanied by a live DJ and a charity campaign for Brustkrebs Deutschland.

The schauinsland Muddy Angel Run Gelsenkirchen 2025 was held, as in previous years, at the Gelsenkirchen Racecourse by Berlin-based XLETIX GmbH. Several thousand female runners from the Ruhr area, North Rhine-Westphalia, and across Germany participated in the 5-kilometer run.

The course led through the spacious infield of the racecourse and included classic obstacles such as the crawling net, the water slide, and the mud pool. The festival concept, featuring a professional warm-up, DJ stage, food stalls, and photo stations, transformed the obstacle race into a half-day women's festival. For each ticket, €1–2 were donated to Brustkrebs Deutschland e.V. Travel by tram line 107 from Gelsenkirchen Main Station was explicitly recommended, as parking spots sold out quickly.
