About Movimentos Festwochen
The Movimentos Festwochen Autostadt has been one of Germany's outstanding dance and cultural festivals since 2003. In spring (April/May), the Autostadt Wolfsburg transforms its stages — most recently, primarily the venue Hafen 1 — into a meeting point for the international dance scene. The programme includes contemporary dance, concerts, matinees, soirees, workshops, theatre, and film.

Movimentos — A Festival with History
The Movimentos Festwochen were launched in 2003 and quickly developed into one of Germany's most important dance festivals. Renowned companies from Europe, North and South America, Africa, and Asia have performed here — Marie Chouinard, Sasha Waltz, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and many other stars of the contemporary dance scene have visited Wolfsburg.
Contemporary Dance at the Centre
Movimentos has always focused on contemporary dance: works that experiment with movement vocabularies, address body politics, and rethink choreographic spaces. The festival presents dance not as an elitist art form, but as a sensual, immediately experienceable one.
Concerts and Crossover
The Festwochen are deliberately multi-disciplinary. In addition to dance productions, the programme features concerts from classical, jazz, world, and pop music, matinees, soirees, theatre, and film. This breadth makes Movimentos a festival for a wide audience, appealing not only to dance lovers.
