The International Street Theater Festival 2025 in the Mosbacher Sommer once again brought international theater groups, musicians, and acrobats to the half-timbered old town. On a Sunday in late summer, the city transformed into an open theater landscape — the market square, Stiftshof, and old town alleys were simultaneously stages.

Street Theater 2025 in the Old Town

In 2025, the International Street Theater was again the highlight of the Mosbacher Sommer. On Sunday afternoon, international acts performed simultaneously at various venues in the half-timbered old town — theater, music, acrobatics, performance, walking acts. The unique historic backdrop of the market square, Palm House, Stiftshof, and narrow half-timbered alleys turned the festival into a site-specific experience that is possible in few other places in Southern Germany.

Admission was free as usual; the solidarity button (5 EUR) allowed for support of artists and the event. Thousands of visitors from the Neckar-Odenwald district, the Heilbronn-Heidelberg region, and beyond experienced the festival.
