Overview

The 41st edition of the Moosenmättle Open Air took place in August 2025 on the usual high plateau at Liefersberg. Two days of Rock, Punk, and Hard Rock with bands from several countries, campfire atmosphere, and Black Forest idyll for several hundred fans. As every year, a well-attended event in the Southern German festival scene, with a dedicated fan community.

Moosenmättle Open Air 2025

The 41st edition of the Moosenmättle Open Air in 2025 continued the festival's traditional mix: two days of international rock bands on the Black Forest high plateau at Liefersberg, with a campfire atmosphere that has characterized the festival for decades. As in previous years, acts from several countries performed, with a clear focus on bands that are hard to see elsewhere.

The dedicated regular audience from the Kinzigtal, Ortenau district, and the wider Black Forest region once again flocked to the mountain in large numbers; visitors from Alsace and Switzerland also found their way to Moosenmättle. Camping, campfires, and the Black Forest idyll made the festival in 2025 one of the special dates on the Southern German festival calendar.
