Overview

The 56th Moosburg Spring Festival in early May took place on the Viehmarktplatz with the characteristic Festzelt Schneider and the traditional opening parade. Festival operations, an amusement park, Bavarian cuisine, and lively music characterized the six days of the festival. The Spring Festival is one of the firm cornerstones of the Upper Bavarian Volksfest calendar between northern Munich and the Hallertau region.

In 2025, the Moosburg Spring Festival once again attracted thousands of visitors from Moosburg, Landshut, Erding, Freising, and the northern Munich metropolitan area to the Viehmarktplatz. Festzelt Schneider remained the heart of the event, offering a traditional Bavarian atmosphere, live bands, and a full gastronomic program.

The opening parade, featuring brass bands, traditional costume groups, marksmen, and the festival host family, marched through Moosburg's old town as it does every year — a visual and auditory spring ritual that highlights the connection between the town, its associations, and the festival organizer. The tradition of the Spring Festival on the Isar is thus kept alive year after year.
