Festival Driven by Passion
The MOOR4U Charity Festival originated in 2018 from the idea of Maurice “Moe” Deuning to generate solidarity rather than profit with a festival. The basic rule is simple: free admission, but donations for social projects. Everyone can participate, everyone can contribute. The concept has proven itself over five editions and has become a well-established name in the Teufelsmoor region and throughout the Rotenburg (Wümme) district.
5th Edition 2026
The 5th edition of the MOOR4U Charity Festival will take place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Gnarrenburg village square. As in previous years, the volunteer team will bring several bands from the North German music scene to a small stage — the program ranges from rock covers and acoustic sets to original compositions. Food stalls will provide guests with food and drinks, and the proceeds of the day will go entirely to social projects.
€25,000 for Local Initiatives
A total of around €25,000 has been raised over the four previous editions. Beneficiaries included the volunteer fire brigades of the municipality, the hospice program in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district, school clubs, sports clubs, and initiatives supporting the socially disadvantaged. The beneficiaries are selected by the festival team in consultation with the Gnarrenburg municipality.
Volunteer Organization
The entire festival is run by volunteers. Stage construction, sound technology, catering, security, and organization are handled by volunteers from Gnarrenburg and the surrounding area. Bands play without a fee, and sponsors provide technology, materials, and catering. This ensures that all proceeds are available for social causes.
Festival Atmosphere in the Teufelsmoor
Despite its charitable nature, MOOR4U is a full-fledged festival with a genuine atmosphere. The family-friendly ambiance at the village square, the evening lighting, the diverse musical offerings from the bands, and the feeling of doing good with every beer and every bratwurst contribute to its unique appeal.
