In 2025, Moers Marketing GmbH planned the new flea market series for 2026 — the City-Trödel season only starts in March 2026 as an independent format. Flea markets in Moers in 2025 were organised differently or decentrally, without the compact city centre concentration of the new format.

In 2025, Moers Marketing GmbH developed the concept for the new 2026 flea market season — four dates per year, over 300 stalls in the city centre, with a lottery system and a quota of free stalls for non-profits. The season start is scheduled for March 2026.
