Listening by the Bodden
The Mönchgut peninsula in the southeast of Rügen is one of Germany's oldest nature reserves and a place of longing for peace-seeking holidaymakers. Where the Bodden landscape meets the Baltic Sea lies the small harbour of Thiessow – a perfect setting for a summer evening with live music. The "Lauschrausch" concert series uses this backdrop for intimate open-air concerts between 7 and 9 PM.
Musical Variety
Throughout the season, the programme ranges from rock and pop to electronic music and world music. The July date in the 2026 programme features an appearance by the artist Eva, who will fill the harbour basin with music, either with her own band or in a solo format. Dancing, party, and disco elements complete the two-hour evening event.
Mönchgut and its Season
The Lauschrausch series is part of the tourist summer programme of the Baltic Sea resort Mönchgut – curated by the Mönchgut spa administration. It is one of several recurring formats: distillery tours at Störtebeker, historical school lessons at the Middelhagen School Museum, mindfulness hikes and chalk hikes, Rügen Market at Thiessow harbour, and yoga on the beach. The peninsula belongs to the Vorpommern-Rügen district.
Free for Guests with a Spa Card
The Lauschrausch is designed as a service for overnight guests: those who present a spa card or, as locals, a citizen's card, have free entry. Spontaneous visitors are also welcome – the concert takes place in the open harbour area, which is freely accessible.
Getting to Thiessow
Thiessow is located at the southeastern tip of Rügen, about 25 kilometres from Sellin and 60 kilometres from Stralsund. By car via the B96 / B196 to Mönchgut, by bus from Bergen auf Rügen or from Sellin (RPNV lines). Parking available at the harbour.
