Overview
In 2025, Hiddensee also celebrated the longest day of the year with the Midsummer Festival at the Vitte sports field. A barbecue stand, cake bazaar, wreath braiding, midsummer pole, and live music made the festival a convivial island experience.
The 2025 Midsummer Festival invited the island community and its guests to the Vitte sports field to celebrate the summer solstice. With free admission, locals and holidaymakers gathered for an atmospheric festival day.
From the barbecue stand to the cake bazaar, to wreath braiding and the erection of the midsummer pole, the festival followed its tried-and-tested program. As usual, the day concluded with a live concert, which rounded off the long summer evening in a convivial manner.
