Benefit Music Festival for Tolerance and Diversity — July 18th and 19th, 2026
The 4th Medieval Market in Dannenberg will take place from Saturday, July 18th, to Sunday, July 19th, 2026, at the Hermann-Stolte-Stadion. The organiser is the Mittelaltergilde Elbe-Wendland e.V., which has been cultivating and developing medieval traditions in the region since its founding.
Craftspeople will present traditional medieval techniques at the market: blacksmithing, leatherworking, bow making, carving, felt making, and medieval cuisine. In addition, performances will shape the weekend — historical combat displays, dance, theatre, fire shows, and musical performances.
A special feature of the Dannenberg Medieval Market: it sees itself as a benefit music festival for tolerance and diversity. The Mittelaltergilde Elbe-Wendland combines the historical setting with a clear socio-political message — the Middle Ages as a stage for encounter and openness, not for isolation.
The exact programme for 2026 will be published by the organiser in the summer. The structure follows the proven key points of previous years:
