Overview

The Mittelalterey zu Pfingsten 2025 took place on the Whitsun weekend at the Turmhügelburg Lütjenburg: merchants, craftsmen, and reenactment warriors offered two days of medieval camp life with concerts, combat demonstrations, a fashion show, and a children's program. Several thousand visitors from Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg attended.

Review of Mittelalterey 2025

The Turmhügelburg Lütjenburg once again opened its gates for the traditional medieval festival at Whitsun 2025. Over the weekend, reenactment groups from all over Northern Germany brought the reconstructed defensive structure to life – craftsmen demonstrated their skills, merchants offered their wares, and music groups with historical instruments filled the grounds.

As in previous years, the festival attracted both dedicated medieval fans and families from the Plön district and the wider region. Castle tours complemented the market and camp program, providing historical context about Germany's only reconstructed motte.
