In 2025, the Metal Frenzy Open Air also took place over four days at Zienau Swimming Pool in Gardelegen – with a slightly smaller band lineup than in 2026 and a broad genre spectrum of Death, Black, Folk, and Crossover.
The 2025 edition followed the classic Frenzy format: four festival days, main and side stage at Zienau Swimming Pool, on-site camping, a mix of international headliners and underground acts. The event laid the groundwork for the 2026 edition with 36 bands and three of Europe's biggest genre headliners.
