Since its premiere, the Meerlauf Bad Zwischenahn has become a fixed date in the North German running calendar. The routes lead over the promenades and paths around the Zwischenahner Meer — flat, fast, and with a view of one of the region's most beautiful water landscapes. The 12th edition takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, starting at 2:30 PM. For the first time, the newly opened stadium at Eyhauser Allee 9c serves as the start and finish arena — a significant upgrade for athletes and spectators, with a grandstand, catering, and competition atmosphere. The routes cover classic distances around the lake.
Routes and Program
The event offers the proven distances for adults and an extensive children's and youth area. Aid stations along the route, timing, finisher refreshments, and award ceremonies are standard. An accompanying program in the stadium ensures a good atmosphere between the starts.
