Overview

For Pentecost 2025 too, reenactment groups staged a large medieval camp at the Groß Raden Open-Air Museum. Crafts, trade, and combat demonstrations from the Slavic and Viking age attracted families and history enthusiasts from all over Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

During the Pentecost weekend 2025, reenactment groups transformed the open-air grounds of the Groß Raden Archaeological Open-Air Museum into a living medieval camp. Around 75 participants showcased crafts, trade, and combat techniques from the 9th to 11th centuries.

As usual, combat demonstrations began daily at 1 PM; blacksmiths, woodturners, leatherworkers, and cooks of Slavic and Viking dishes were present at stalls. Admission was at the regular museum rate of €3.50 for adults and €2 reduced.
