Late Autumn Among Thatched Roofs
The Klockenhagen Open-Air Museum is located just a few kilometers west of Ribnitz-Damgarten and preserves typical Mecklenburg farmhouses, barns, and workshops on around six hectares. Every year in mid-November, the museum hosts its Martin's Market, which is also designed as a family day.

Regional exhibitors present sustainable decorative items, regional products, and creative craft offerings among the historic houses. The museum tavern offers warm food, mulled wine, and coffee specialties. The program is deliberately family-friendly, with hands-on stations for crafting Advent wreaths or lanterns.
Location and Context
Klockenhagen belongs to the amber town of Ribnitz-Damgarten in the Vorpommern-Rügen district. The open-air museum sees itself as a showcase of rural culture on the Bodden and Baltic Sea and is open from April to November. The Martin's Market traditionally marks one of the last major event days of the year before the grounds close for the winter break.

Martin's Market 2026
The Martin's Market traditionally takes place on the third Saturday in November. For 2026, this falls on November 21st (subject to official confirmation by the museum). The market is expected to open from 10 a.m., as in previous years.
