Overview

In 2025, the Marmstorf marksmen's club once again hosted its traditional Vogelschießen. Four days of festival tent, King's Shoot, fireworks, and chains of swing characterized the most important Volksfest in Hamburg's Marmstorf district — at the NOVA parking lot, in the Harburg district.

The 2025 edition continued the Marmstorf tradition maintained for generations. Grand Zapfenstreich on Friday evening, King's Shoot over the weekend, grand fireworks on Saturday evening, Citizen's King Shoot on Sunday morning, and coronation of the new majesties at the festival's close on Monday — the program was as reliable as the annual "class reunion" of the Marmstorf residents at the festival tent.

As always, the iron rule applied: In Marmstorf, it's called Vogelschießen, not Schützenfest. Whoever uses the wrong term buys a round.
