Overview

The Marktplatzsommer 2025 ran from July 10 to August 21, 2025, in Bad Neustadt's old town. As usual, the catering stands on the historic market square opened from 5:30 PM, and the live concerts began at 7:00 PM. The Cultural Office, under the direction of Michael Schönmeier, presented a colorful mix of musical genres under the open sky for six weeks.

Marktplatzsommer 2025 – Review

From July 10 to August 21, 2025, this year's edition of the Marktplatzsommer took place in Bad Neustadt a.d. Saale. For six weeks, the town's Cultural Office transformed the historic market square into a summer stage, with a different program almost every evening.

The proven structure remained the same: catering from 5:30 PM, concert start at 7:00 PM. The musical mix ranged from singer-songwriters and jazz combos to folk bands and Latin ensembles, as well as cover rock and Franconian folk music. The catering with Franconian sausages, pretzels, wine, and beer attracted families, tourists, and locals alike to the market square, making it the liveliest meeting point in the Rhön town for weeks.
