The Marktplatzfest Rheinzabern is a classic Southern Palatinate street and village festival organized by the municipality of Rheinzabern together with local clubs. Rheinzabern is a historically rich municipality with around 5,000 inhabitants and looks back on a significant Roman past — the ancient Tabernae was one of the most important Roman pottery centers in the hinterland of the Limes.
Venue: Market Square
The market square in the center of Rheinzabern, framed by historic buildings and the town hall, offers a particularly beautiful setting for a village festival. Pavilions and catering counters are set up for the Marktplatzfest, and a small stage provides musical accompaniment.
Catering
Palatinate specialties dominate the culinary offerings: Bratwurst, Saumagen, Leberknödel, Flammkuchen, fries, coffee and cake in the afternoon. Palatinate wine from a regional vintner, Palatinate beer on tap, and Palatinate Schorle complement the selection. The clubs take turns catering.
Program
