Overview
The 45th Marktfest Schmidmühlen was celebrated on August 2nd and 3rd, 2025. As since 1978, it took place on the first weekend of August. On Saturday afternoon, the grand parade, led by the Blaskapelle St. Ägidius, wound through the town, followed by beer tapping and festivities with brass band music. Traditional crafts and demonstrations such as Drischldreschen, donkey races in the flood basin, and helicopter rides offered entertainment for all generations. Under the motto 'Citizens for Citizens', clubs and the village community jointly supported the festival – a social highlight in the Amberg-Sulzbach district, Bavaria.
