A Platform for Career Orientation
With its second edition, the "Markt der Möglichkeiten" is establishing itself as a central career orientation fair in Delmenhorst. School pupils, apprentices, career starters, returners to the workforce, and people interested in a career change will find concentrated knowledge, personal discussions, and concrete job offers under one roof.
The Exhibitors
The range is deliberately broad. Exhibitors include, among others, the Delmenhorst city administration with its diverse professional fields, the fire department with information on career paths, the police with advice on careers, Lebenshilfe Delmenhorst, the German Red Cross with nursing and social professions, the Delme Klinikum with nursing, therapy, and administrative positions, and the StadtWerkegruppe with technical and commercial positions.
Markthalle as the Ideal Setting
The centrally located Markthalle at Rathausplatz 2 offers short distances between the stands and an open, inviting atmosphere. The hall is accessible and easily reachable by public transport.
Opening and Program
Mayor Petra Gerlach will officially open the fair in the morning. Throughout the day, there will be short presentations, consultation formats, and application tips. Those who wish to prepare should ideally bring a resume or specific questions.
Free Admission
Admission to the fair is free. The organizers thus emphasize its character as an accessible offer for all population groups in Delmenhorst and the region.
Markt der Möglichkeiten — edition 2026
With the 2026 edition, Delmenhorst aims to strengthen the connection between local employers and individuals interested in careers. The city thus sends a clear signal for the visibility of municipal professions, which are often underrepresented in general discourse but remain indispensable for city life.
The format, with short distances between exhibitor stands, personal advice, and an open atmosphere in the Markthalle, proved successful in its first edition. In 2026, the concept will be continued and further expanded.
