Overview

The Mannheim City Festival 2025 took place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, on the Planken. Four stages with over 40 live acts from pop, rock, Schlager, and dance. Arts and crafts market, children's festival, walking acts, and international street food stalls. Largest open-air event in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Admission completely free.

Mannheim City Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Mannheim City Festival, like every year, drew hundreds of thousands of visitors from the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region and beyond to the Planken. The four stages — VTM Stage, UNESCO City of Music Stage, Feuerio Stage, and Kulturnetz Stage — programmed a wide spectrum of musical styles over three days.

As in 2026, admission was completely free, and travel by public transport was actively promoted. Mannheim's identity as a UNESCO City of Music was clearly emphasized through the program of the corresponding stage — a central element of the City Festival's profile.
