Overview
The 2025 Maikirmes Thalwenden brought the traditional spring Volksfest to the district of the Uder rural municipality. Three days of festivities with amusement rides, a beer tent, dance evenings, Sunday mass, and a family program. Thalwenden's clubs and the rural municipality organized the Whitsun weekend — a time-honored tradition that the Catholic Eichsfeld celebrates annually.
Maikirmes Thalwenden 2025
The 2025 edition continued the annual format: a three-day Whitsun weekend with amusement rides on the festival grounds, a beer tent with dance evenings, Sunday mass in the church, "Frühschoppen" with brass music, and a children's program on Whit Monday. Thalwenden's club landscape — sports club, fire department, heritage society, church choir — jointly shaped the program.
