Edition 2025 — Maifeuer Bargenstedt

The 2025 Maifeuer in Bargenstedt took place, as every year, on April 30th in the village square. The Bargenstedt Music Band played, children recited their May poems, the Maypole was raised — and the whole village walked together to the festival grounds where the Maifeuer was lit.

As in previous years, the Volunteer Fire Brigade and the Vogelschießerausschuss were responsible for organisation and catering. The Maifeuer is a living tradition in the Dithmarschen Geestland, representing not just custom but also active village community, especially in small communities like Bargenstedt.
