Overview

The premiere edition of the Maibaumfest Feuerbach took place on May 1st, 2025, on Wilhelm-Geiger-Platz and confirmed the concept of a compact neighbourhood May festival. The Musikverein Stadtorchester Feuerbach 1899 e.V. and the GHV Feuerbach, together with other associations, staged a successful format that was so successful that its repeat in 2026 was immediately announced.

Premiere 2025 — A Successful Start

The first edition in 2025 was a test for the organisers to see if a compact neighbourhood May festival would work in Feuerbach. The answer was unequivocally positive: hundreds of visitors from the neighbourhood came to Wilhelm-Geiger-Platz, the live programme was well-received, the children's programme was fully booked, and catering ran smoothly.

Stuttgart-Feuerbach has been struggling with structural change for years — traditional industry has lost jobs, and the district has become more demographically diverse. Events like the Maibaumfest are important for strengthening neighbourhood identity. The alliance of associations from the music club, GHV, and other players signals: Feuerbach is alive, Feuerbach is celebrating, Feuerbach remains visible.
