Overview

On December 20, 2025, the first large Christmas market in the district took place on the Am Rosenhag sports field in Mahlsdorf (Melanchthonstraße 53, BSV Eintracht Mahlsdorf). Around 2,500 visitors came — significantly more than expected by the organizers. Angel stilt walkers, fog, glittering lights, handmade goods, mulled wine, and a visit from Santa Claus were among the highlights. Organizing community: Mach-Mit-Kitas, BSV Eintracht Mahlsdorf, Kiezmacher CDU Wuhletal, Support Association FFW Mahlsdorf.

The premiere on December 20, 2025, starting at 2:00 PM, exceeded all expectations: Around 2,500 visitors flocked to the grounds of BSV Eintracht Mahlsdorf at Melanchthonstraße 53. Strings of lights, fire pits, angel stilt walkers, and fog machines transformed the sports field into an Advent space. Stalls with ceramics, jewelry, honey, cosmetics, and gift ideas lined up — complemented by mulled wine, children's punch, sausages, and lard cakes. Santa Claus visited from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, a DJ provided the area with Christmas and pop music, and face painting was free. Mahlsdorf finally has its own large Advent market in East Berlin.
