Overview

The 26th edition of the Mahlsdorfer Familienfest took place on July 19 and 20, 2025, at Durlacher Platz, attracting over 6,000 visitors. It featured a Schlager party on Saturday evening and a Family Day on Sunday with a children's stage, craft stations, and amusement rides. As since 1999, the event was privately financed by Mario Czaja MdB and Katharina Günther-Wünsch. The organizers have already announced the 27th edition for 2026.

With over 6,000 visitors over the weekend, the 2025 edition was among the most successful in recent years. The Schlager party on Saturday evening attracted a mixed audience from Mahlsdorf residents and guests from across the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district. The Family Day on Sunday, running from 11 am to 5 pm, featured a children's stage, craft stations, and amusement rides, filling Durlacher Platz and the adjacent streets.

In their review, the organizers once again emphasized the importance of "many loyal supporters from the neighborhood and beyond," without whom the format "would not be possible in this form." Both confirmed the continuation in 2026 with the motto "After the family festival is before the family festival" and officially announced the 27th edition.
