The city festival in the Stadtpark with NDW, tribute bands, and family program
The Lübzer Turmvergnügen was launched in 2024 as the successor to the Lübzer Turmfest, which had been a fixed date in the event calendar of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania for years. After the Mecklenburgische Brauerei Lübz was no longer the main organizer, the Gewerbeverein Lübz e.V. took over the organization of a new format that continues the tradition with fresh momentum. The premiere attracted around 2,000 visitors to the Stadtpark.
Friday traditionally kicks off with DJ Tim Hochfeld and the Lübzer Karnevalclub with show dances. The highlight of the evening is the beer tapping at 8 p.m., followed by party music from the House Rockerz. On Saturday, the Schützenverein opens the day's program with a salute shot, before tribute artists, local clubs, and headliners like HOT BANDITOZ take the stage. The evening culminates in a fireworks display with musical accompaniment. Sunday is dedicated to brass music with the Elde-Blasorchester Parchim-Lübz.
Between the stages, families will find free hands-on activities: a climbing wall, a 4-in-1 trampoline, bouncy castles, a toddler area, and street performers provide entertainment. Regional restaurateurs ensure culinary delights with specialties from Mecklenburg and, of course, fresh Lübzer Pils.
Lübz has been synonymous with North German beer for over 145 years. The Mecklenburgische Brauerei Lübz supports the Turmvergnügen with a five-figure sum and ensures that the brewing tradition remains firmly anchored in the city festival. The characteristic city tower of the Eldestadt gave the festival its name.
Lübz is located about 30 kilometers east of Schwerin and is easily accessible via the B191 and by regional train from the direction of Parchim and Plau am See. The Stadtpark is located near the town center and is within walking distance of the train station.
The 3rd edition of the Lübzer Turmvergnügen from August 14 to 16, 2026, builds on the successful concept: three days of city festival in the Stadtpark with free admission, curated by Gewerbeverein Lübz e.V. After the sold-out premiere in 2024 and the expanded follow-up edition in 2025 with around 5,000 visitors, the third edition aims to consolidate its position as a regional summer highlight in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district.
The detailed lineup will be published in the weeks leading up to the festival on the association's website. As in 2024 and 2025, expect a mix of NDW bands, tribute acts, show dances by the Lübzer Karnevalclub, a performance by the Burgfestspiele Plau am See, and fireworks on Saturday evening. Sunday traditionally opens with brass music by the Elde-Blasorchester Parchim-Lübz.
The complete 2026 lineup with headliner names will be announced by Gewerbeverein Lübz on gewerbeverein-luebz.de.
Admission to the entire festival grounds in the Stadtpark is free. Food and drinks are sold on-site at various stalls. The family program (bouncy castle, trampoline, climbing wall) is also free. Mecklenburgische Brauerei Lübz supports the festival with a five-figure contribution, so no admission fees are charged.
By regional train from Schwerin, Parchim, or Plau am See to Lübz station. By car via the B191 (connection A24 / A19). The Stadtpark is located near the town center and is signposted.
