Overview

The Ludwigsburg Steep Slope Days 2025 took place in early July in the Neckar steep slopes between Neckarweihingen and Poppenweiler. Four wineries (Kleinle, Kopp, Marbach, Steile Helden) opened their slopes for guided wine walks, wine tastings, and regional culinary offerings. Free admission.

Steep Slope Days 2025

As every year, the 2025 event combined wine hikes with wine tastings in the steep Neckar slopes. The steep slopes between Neckarweihingen and Poppenweiler offer one of Württemberg's most beautiful wine landscapes — up to 30% gradient, dry stone walls, viewpoints overlooking Ludwigsburg Castle and the Neckar valley.

The four participating wineries — Kleinle, Kopp, Weingärtner Marbach, and Steile Helden — presented their wines directly in the vineyards. Manufaktur Mörsel and local caterers served visitors. The oldtimer bus shuttle between the stops facilitated day planning for non-hiking visitors.
