Edition 2025 — 750 Years Luckau
2025 was the preparation year for Luckau's 750th city jubilee in 2026. The city worked intensively on the program, logistics, and promotion of the festival week. Regular events (city festival, medieval market, punt rides) ran as usual and served as a dress rehearsal for the major 2026 jubilee.
In 2025, the city of Luckau used the year before its 750th city jubilee to prepare the extensive festival weekend in 2026. Program planning, sponsor acquisition, and promotion of the event in the region were key tasks.
Luckau, a historically significant town in the Dahme-Spreewald district and at the southwestern tip of the Spreewald, prepared to become the cultural center of Lower Lusatia with its 2026 city jubilee.
