Overview

In 2025, the Long Night of Open Churches on Pentecost Sunday once again invited around 100 Berlin and Brandenburg churches to open their doors for concerts, tours, services, and interactive formats. The Ecumenical Council Berlin-Brandenburg remained the organizer, and admission was free.

Pentecost 2025 in the Region

The 2025 edition confirmed the format: on Pentecost Sunday, around 100 churches and communities in Berlin and Brandenburg opened their doors for a packed evening program. Concerts, organ tours, tower experiences, services, discussions, and interactive formats alternated in the individual venues.

Ecumenical Scope

As in 2026, the program covered the entire denominational spectrum – Protestant, Catholic, free church, Orthodox. This makes the Long Night of Open Churches one of the few Berlin cultural formats that consciously makes religion visible in an ecumenical way.
