Edition 2025 — Museum Night Erfurt
In 2025, the Long Night of Museums Erfurt once again attracted thousands of visitors to the old town. Over two dozen museums, galleries, and cultural institutions opened their doors from 6 PM to midnight for special guided tours, concerts, and performances. With a single ticket, visitors could move between venues, and free shuttle buses connected the locations.
The 2025 edition continued the successful concept and confirmed the status of Erfurt's Museum Night as the most important cultural gathering event in Thuringia. Families, students, and culture enthusiasts from Erfurt and the surrounding region used the evening to visit places they would otherwise rarely or never enter. The UNESCO World Heritage sites of medieval Jewish culture were once again crowd-pullers, the Angermuseum and the Stadtmuseum offered special programmes. The Topf & Söhne Memorial Site made a deliberate statement of historical and political education.
