Overview

The Lohr Good Friday Procession 2025 took place on Good Friday, April 18th. As every year, the silent procession set off from the town parish church in the morning, carrying 13 platforms with life-sized figures of the Passion of Christ through the old town of Lohr am Main.

In 2025, the Lohr Good Friday Procession again wound its way through the historic old town on Good Friday, April 18th. Members of Lohr's guilds and associations carried the 13 large platforms with the life-sized figures of the Passion of Christ through the town.

Accompanied by dull drumbeats and processional music, participants and spectators observed the procession in reverent silence. The procession once again affirmed its status as one of Germany's oldest and most impressive Good Friday customs.

Programme

The Lohr Good Friday Procession 2025 followed the traditional format: starting in the morning at the town parish church, a silent procession with 13 carried platforms through the old town, accompanied by drumbeats and processional music. Duration approximately 90 minutes.
